One District One Product (ODOP)

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) launched a Centrally sponsored scheme, PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME), with the aim of providing financial, technical and business support for upgrading existing micro food processing enterprises.

It has adopted One District One Product (ODOP) approach to reap the benefits of scale in terms of procurement of inputs, availing common services and marketing of products.

In line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision, this will help in taking local products to the national level as well as generate economic stability for the people making his vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat a reality.

MoFPI and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) have entered into an MoU wherein Nafed can leverage its branding and marketing expertise to develop new products and brands as part of the PM FME scheme.

Dilli Bakes is a brand developed by Nafed under the PM FME scheme for marketing bakery products from Delhi.

Makhana King is a brand developed by Nafed under the PM FME scheme for marketing Makhana based products from Darbhanga, Bihar.
